Why You Should Attend

Split factors and understanding how to calculate them or, if there is not enough data available, what assumption is appropriate to apply is one of the more common problems encountered in modern Earthing Design – Especially in the rail sector.

Webinar Outcomes

In this webinar shortly after COVID lockdown, you will learn what a split factor is, where it came from and the relevance of the 80/20 rule.

Importantly, you will not only learn more about calculating a split factor, the common assumptions as well as legacy rules which are commonly used on rail networks but you will also learn when NOT to use a rule or legacy assumption. Adding a level of rigour to your projects that better represents the reality and could save lives.

Who should attend?

This webinar is right for you if you are…

  • Responsible for delivering Earthing/grounding system design
  • Someone who organises and leads a design/project team
  • Responsible for subcontracting Earthing design and/or installations.

Do you need to be a technical person to attend?

You don’t need to be a specialist – but there is a level of underpinning knowledge assumed.
